"Heck of a Job, George!" -Feds Rejected Foreign Help of $800 Million for Katrina While Victims Suffered
In an appalling lack of concern for the countless Hurricane Katrina victims, it has been confirmed that federal agencies rejected millions of dollars in aid offered by foreign governments. The US routinely uses tax dollars to assist other nations in times of crises, but is apparently unwilling to allow aid to their own citizens. The blow would carry less of a sting if the US government could do an adequate job caring for its own, before preventing others from doing so. It is safe to say that the agencies responsible weren’t speaking for the devastated victims, many of whom lost loved ones, businesses, homes and every last worldly possession. These individuals’ lives would have been greatly blessed by the international generosity.
