From the 'X Files' Dept: : "Apollo 18 -The Secret Mission"
Apollo 18 is a totally realistic and terrifying movie about a secret Apollo 18 mission to the moon and the discovery of intelligent and deadly extraterrestrial life. This movie, directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego, scheduled for release at a theater near you on April 22, 2011, explores the idea of why we never went back to the moon after Apollo 17. The documentary style movie shows the launching and footage from Apollo 18 where everything went wrong and extraterrestrial life was discovered.

Perhaps another name could have been "The Blair Witch in Outer Space Project"

This looks really stupid. So they launched an Apollo Saturn V and nobody saw it?

These kind of movies seem to be made to end space exploration by pretending to be real. Producers, writers and directors show no social responsibility as they spread false ideas on what real science and technology do for mankind, as well as the real sacrifices done by scientists, technicians, astronauts and all that people who have devoted their lives in the pursue of space.

Ahh man! why??!!! Why do they take a great idea for a movie and turn it into some piece of crap? I sometimes think there is a concerted effort to take "controversial" subjects and make ridiculous movies about them. again my question.. why a "blair witch/paranormal activity" style horrorish piece of garbage? ..I suspect industrial cleanser consumption as a child

I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be a "pice of crap" as some here have posted. I love sci-fi and will be very upset if this is yet another bad movie besmirching and ruining the good name of science fiction movies.

I'm not a big fan of horror movies that are disguised as Sci-Fi movies, in the style of "Event Horizon".
I hated "Event Horizon".
If this is another Event Horizon, I'll be disappointed. But I'll give it a shot and check it out.
I wish they would make more great Sci-Fi movies like:
- 2001, 2010,
- Back to the Future,
- Avatar
- Solaris (both the older and newer one were great!)
- Moon,
- Minority Report,
- Code 46,
- Matrix (1st movie),
- I, Robot
- Primer
- Wall-E
- District-9
- Time Travelers Wife
- Inception
- Tron
- Star Trek (Latest movie version)
- Johnny Mnemonic
- Sphere
- 12 monkeys
- Jurassic Park (1st movie)
- Cube
- Stargate: Continuum
- Serenity
- Sunshine
If they made more movies like that I would be PAYING full admission to be at the movie theater every single week, without fail!
I would gladly hand you my money for that kind of entertainment!
A little bit of horror thrown in, such as in Cube, or Serenity, or Sunshine, is ok, I guess (but that's borderline to my tastes)...
Just as long as it's not a full out "horror" movie trying to pretend to be Sci-Fi (as was the disaster of the "Event Horizon" movie, which I can't state often enough what a pitiful disappointment of a movie that was!).
