this acts like this information was just discovered yesterday. this is nothing new. and it doesn't prove that dark energy exists, it just proves that we don't actually understand what is going on.

We've known this much for a long time..just a reconfirmation. Now tell us what dark energy/matter is and we'll be on our way.

dark energy is the ether of creation, it is everywhere, it is what is inbetween the atoms ,,,,...

What constitutes dark matter is not yet clear, we only know what effect it exerts on visible matter, without ever showing a direct observation for the signals sent from the visible matter. It is thus considered that dark matter can not be baryonic in nature like the visible matter is!
