Will It Soon Be Possible to Teleport Energy? World's Leading Experts Say "Yes"

Discovery_chan_id1_04a There is an increasing awareness among the world's scientific community that the properties of the universe are best described not by the laws that govern matter but by the laws that govern information, which appears to be true for the quantum world, is true for special relativity, and is now being explored for general relativity.

Using the same quantum principles that enable the teleportation of information, a new proposal by Japanese physicist Masahiro Hotta of Tohoku University shows how it may be possible to teleport energy. By exploiting the quantum energy fluctuations in entangled particles, physicists may be able to inject energy in one particle, and extract it in another particle located light-years away. The proposal could lead to new developments in energy distribution, as well as a better understanding of the relationship between quantum information and quantum energy.

Previously, physicists have demonstrated how to teleport the quantum states of several different entities, including photons, atoms, and ions. Researchers predict that the principles of teleportation could also extend to molecules, viruses, and other more complex objects. Over the past year, physicists have also been exploring quantum energy teleportation, and Hotta’s latest paper builds on these studies.

As in previous examples of teleportation, the actual particles aren’t teleported since they’re basically identical at the quantum level. Rather, the information they carry is the important part. For this reason, physicists can simply send the information within a particle and not the particle itself. A receiving particle accepts the information from a sending particle, taking on the identity of the sending particle.

Hotta’s paper marks the first example of the energy-entanglement relation for the smallest kind of quantum energy teleportation model. As he explains, the findings could enable scientists to explore the foundations of physics: specifically, the relationship between quantum information and quantum energy.

Teleportation in mentioned in new testament .. where Philip is teleported from Gaza to Azotus ..By sprit..Even though Newtonian theories cllearly mentions that teleportation is impossible ..Quantum theory where electron acted like waves and can makes quantum leaps ...Dosent prcalim that it is impossible ..

Is epr experiment logical ..The concept that there is a web that connects distant corners of the universe .. (this concept was later proven wrong as nothing can travel faster than light )..

Even though on theory we can support the concept .. the above article dosent mentions any thing regarding how scientists
maintained coherence between atoms at to ends .To quote Michio Kaku 'From Physics of Impossible 'Atoms will decohere in nano
seconds .. Hence complete teleportation is impossible stylishly we can say that informtion is teleportes(Not a great thing ..even a fax machine and internet does it )

As I said in my book "The Plain Truth About God" (What the church doesn't want you to know!) the separation of this reality from different planes of existance, up to and including "Branes" is a subject that we are only slowly becoming dimly aware of.

I have no idea what this line of research will lead to since it's sort of like asking a man who has been blind since birth to describe a colour..........!

But the possibilities are endless, and quite exciting!

Some very small and very, very old physicists have been doing this for a long time now.

I don't think that "information" has ever been transported through quantum entanglement. In fact I think that the whole reason it is possible is because it CAN'T teleport info. I could be wrong but Id look into if further for a more accurate article.

I believe the "information" is the receiving particles themselves. The transport of these particles are bound to a speed limit per relativity. In order to extract energy from these particles, one would need to send entangled particles to another location (lets say Jupiter). To send those particles there, they could not travel faster than the speed of light. But once they are there, measuring their entangled counterparts here on earth would mean the particles on Jupiter would immediately release their energy (I.E. vibration) and therefore the "teleportation" of energy would seem to be faster than the speed of light.

Two words - Nicola Tesla.

Think about that.

beam me up scotty

Readers! don’t be overenthusiastic. Just go to http://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?p=3611711#post3611711 and see the comments of Hotta himself. As per him, this is just a quantum level phenomenon and the energy available beyond that level is so small that even communication isn’t possible. Next, the classical channel is an integral part of the system and “faster-than-light” communication is even THEORETICALLY NOT POSSIBLE.
