What's the mystery ? They're not alien landing sites, they don't contain knowledge from Atlantis or advanced aliens, & there's not an alien spacecraft buried underneath them.
One valid theory is that perhaps they were ceremonial sites where certain mortuary rites were performed on the mummies of the pharaohs, then they were buried someplace else.

It's possible that they were the equivalent of giant headstones for the pharaohs, too. The Nubian pyramids were. Unfortunately, I was unable to watch the video because there are other people around, but Dr. Zahi Hawass has quite a reputation as an expert on the Pyramids. He would be the 1st to dismiss New Age pseudo - scientific claims about them.
