It's not 1955 anymore, & America is no longer #1 like we were in the aftermath of WWII & the Korean war years when ALMOST everyone wanted to be like us, with the possible exception of Communist China, Castro's Cuba, Soviet Russia, etc. Indeed, it's almost " 1984 ", even though we still have freedom of speech, although the Neo - cons want to supress that. These people dream of returning to the dear old days of the McCarthy witch hunts, & making a lot of things faith - based.
That's not what America is about, & I hope it never is.
