21st-Century Map of the Moon's South Pole

Lunar_south_pole The best place for landing man on the moon is on the South Pole at  Aitken Basin .

Much of the area around the Moon's south pole is within the Aitken Basin (shown in blue on the lunar topography image), a giant impact crater 1,550 miles in diameter and 7.5 miles deep at its lowest point. Many smaller craters exist on the floor of this basin. Many of those craters never see sunlight and are thought to contain water ice.

Most sizeable physical objects in space outgass and the moon is no exception. NASA pictures show a possible ground fog. At 7.5 miles deep, in constant shade, these gasses will be the densences, and with water, and constructed glass domes over craters, one might have all the material for a sustainable living quarters. Check out NASA pictures of possible glass domed craters already existant.
