Firefly MMO in the Works
Now, some people might remember a little show on Fox a few years ago called Firefly. For those of you not familiar with the series, let me give you a quick synopsis. The year is 2517; Capitan Mal Reynolds is at the head of the firefly-class ship called Serenity. He and his crew are smugglers, doing what they can to get by. Veterans of the Unification War, a failed rebellion, they roam space to keep out of the control of The Alliance, who runs the star system they reside in...
Yeah, that show.
What we know so far is that the game is being made by Multiverse, and that it doesn't have an expected release date. One would figure that you would be able to choose to play as either a browncoat rebel, or as the over-bearing government, the Alliance. It's been announced to be using the Multiverse client, which already has many customers already.
With Fox and Multiverse talks ending in agreements, Adam Kline, vice president of Fox's marketing and licensing department, proposed:
We see virtual worlds as an extraordinarily promising new entertainment medium. This is a great opportunity for 20th Century Fox and for the fans of Firefly because Multiverse will deliver an experience that will remain true to the original series, while enabling a whole new level of personal involvement for fans.
In other Firefly news, there is a rumored second movie coming out called Serenity 2, but nobody has been able to confirm this. The story would follow the original movie, Serenity, which took place after the series that was run on Fox Network, which never actually saw it's entirety run out on the show; the last 3 episodes were canceled. The last shows were eventually played on the Sci-Fi channel, along with other networks. You can find them all, with director's commentary, on the Firefly DVD set if you ever wanted to become part of the Firefly cult following.
It's never too late to become a fan.

Do you remeber other series like "Enterprise" or other of fox I don´t remember the name where the second colony of the earth is attacked by aliens. I believe a person in a colony is more factible to be a country man or ¿How do you say it in english?, Well just a farmer than for example an astrophisycs man.

One thing that a lot of people have missed in this recent economic down turn is
the fact that in-game money for all of the massive mutliplayer online role
playing games has not been effected. I guess it just shows how strong and stable
the computer game industry really is.
