1- The bloodhound is the only animal whose evidence is admissible in an American court.
2- Abraham Lincoln, who invented a hydraulic device for lifting ships over shoals, was the only US president ever granted a patent.
3- The only father and son to hit back-to-back home runs in a major league baseball game were Ken Griffey, Jr., and his father, Ken Griffey, Sr., both of the Seattle Mariners, in a game against the California Angels on September 14, 1990.
4- The smallest dog in history was a tiny Yorkie from Blackburn, England. Fully grown the incredibly small pooch was only 2.5 inches tall and less than 4 inches long. He weighed just 4 ounces and was about as big as a medium-sized apple.
5- The most popular first name in the world is Muhammad
6- The Virginia opossum is the only marsupial (pouched mammal) indigenous to North America.
7- The only 15 letter word that can be spelled without repeating a letter is "uncopyrightable"!
8- The only lizard that has a voice is the Gecko, which may be why Geico picked one as their spokesman.
9- Elvis Presley made only one television commercial - an ad for "Southern Maid Doughnuts" that ran in 1954.
10- Honey is one of the rare foods that can withstand the test of time. Honey found in the tombs of Egyptian pharaohs has been tasted by archaeologists and found edible.
