Javier Navarrete "Pan's Labyrinth" Soundtrack -Today's Hot Playlist Pick

Pans_labyrinth_2Javier Navarrete has set a new standard for movie soundtracks in his Oscar-nominated score for Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth, a dark fantasy set in 1944 Spain. The theme is set with "Long, Long Time Ago," a melancholy tone with piano and voice; the second track, "The Labyrinth,"  gives the listener insight into the movie's magical universe. Navarrete excels on the longer tracks, such as "Not Human," which takes you through a succession of fanastical moods. Posted by Jason McManus.
