Clap Your Hands Say Yeah "Some Loud Thunder"–Today’s Hot Playlist Pick

060731_clapyourhands_2The five-man group hailing from Brooklyn and Philadelphia known as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah released their second album, Some Loud Thunder, to a keen audience earlier this year. After their first self-released album met positive reviews way back in 2005–most notably Rolling Stone named them “Hot New Band” of that year–Clap Your Hands Say Yeah has been building a solid and dedicated base of indie-rock supporters. Word is that both David Bowie and David Byrne have been spotted hanging around the band’s shows; after a recent appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, the band has embarked on their worldwide tour. This second effort is as disjointed and choppy as their first–the very sound that makes Clap Your Hands Say Yeah a unique listen. Give Love Song No. 7 and Underwater (You and Me) a whirl. Since a recent appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, the band has embarked on their worldwide tour. We've linked to the full-length Rhapsody tracks, as always. Posted by Kiki
