Arkive -An Audio/Video Record of Life on Earth

ArkivehomerevARKive is a profoundly beautiful site dedicated to creating a lasting audio-visual
record of life on Earth. You can explore each individual species by family group, habitat, and conservation status (endangered, protected). You can explore and study in depth by movies, photos, and text.

Two species featured, for example, on their homepage are the Common dandelion, (generally regarded as a weed, they have many culinary uses: in salads and stir-fries; and the root can be dried to make a substitute for coffee) and Marquesan imperial-pigeon: only 150 individuals of this species are thought to remain, in two populations on the Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia.
