Celebrating Earth Day
With all the news breaking this weekend that Al Gore might toss his hat in the ring for the '08 Presidential Election and the UN Report on Climate Change, I thought that Oscar Award-winner Melissa Etheridge's great performance at the Academy Awards this year would make a perfect way for us to celebrate and honor Earth Day. Etheridge blew the audience away with "I Need to Wake Up" -the soundtrack theme song from Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, the searing Oscar-winning documentary about climate change and global warming. In 2004, Etheridge was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the 2005 Grammy Awards, she made a return to the stage. Enjoy. Posted by Casey Kazan.
