This extraordinary video imagery takes you on a journey inside our Milky Way to planetary nebula NGC 2440 - at the center of this nebula is a star with one of the hottest surface temperatures ever confirmed. This white dwarf star's surface has been measured at greater than 200,000 degrees Celsius - more than 30 times hotter than that of our own Sun, which is the reason it glows more than 250 times brighter than the Sun.
