Rosanne Cash "Black Cadillac" -Today's Hot Playlist Pick
Being Sunday, I thought Rosanne Cash's beautiful, moving ballad, "God is in the Roses" would make a fine choice. Jon Parelles wrote recently in a review of Black Cadillac for the New York Times that "while the world mourned Johnny Cash, his daughter mourned her father. The songs on “Black Cadillac” aren’t country. They’re stately, Celtic-rooted ballads swimming in rich guitar tones, and they hold back tears as they ponder family and memory, continuity and sorrow." I've linked to the free, full-length Rhapsody tracks (if ou don't have a Rhapsody player, it takes just seconds to download). Posted by Casey Kazan.
