Top Web "Social-Music" Services
Mike Arrington's Tech Crunch published one of their standard, brilliant reviews, this one on Web social-music services that lets the world interact and share their music passions. Their favorite was the relatively new startup, Finetune, that lets you build and share playlists. Our personal Daily Galaxy favorite is Pandora, the Music Genome Project, that generates a stream of songs that you’ll like based on how you rate previous tracks. You create stations around artists, songs or albums and you can provide feedback (thumbs up or thumbs down) on the songs Pandora chooses. Their founder, Tim Westergren, and staff are ex-professional musicans and it shows in the ease of use and granularity of their huge database. Posted by Casey Kazan.
